Also, Sydney and Kafka have a history: Kafka blames Sydney for the loss of his left hand. Sydney and Nigel go off after Shareem, who is at a dig being run by Kafka. Kafka plans to mislead Shareem, find the lamp, and kill the Prince. He and Sydney duke it out and Kafka ends up falling into a deep pit. Sydney then finds the lamp and Shareem uses it to test the loyalty of Yusef and Hosni. Yusef passes, but Hosni is revealed as being a traitor. Satisfied, Shareem gives the lamp to Sydney for the museum. However, as the episode ends we see that Kafka is still alive...
