In the toilet Mr Drysdale opens the bag to have a look & the buzzard almost escapes. Mr Drysdale returns to his seat next to Jethro with feathers in his hair & flapping his arms like a bird. Granny sees this and thinks He has Goose Fever. When the Clampetts are driving through town,people are pointing at them. Granny says news has spread how they chickened out of the war of the roses last time they were in England. When they arrive at the castle Colonel Dumbarton next door fires off his sunset canon & lowers the Union Jack flag. Granny thinks he's startin'the war of the roses all over again.!

With the pressure of a large logging contract with a late penalty, the Bolt brothers would be busy enough, but the brides, led by Candy Pruitt, have put together a petition. The town must get a doctor or they will leave. Jason heads to San Francisco in search of a doctor. The only one he can find has excellent credentials, but is a woman, which in the mid-1800s was very rare. He extends her the offer out of desperation and they sail back to Seattle. In the meantime, Joshua and Jeremy have been running the logging camp. Jeremy dynamites a log jam and is severely injured. Dr. Wright returns in time to save his life. To thank her, Jason throws her a welcome party, but attendance is mixed: the loggers go only because Jason insisted that they go, but only two of the brides show up. Jason delivers an impassioned speech to the brides about their prejudice. The Cartwrights and Candy cut right between the soldiers and the Mexican bandits, in a spectacular chase through a little valley and wind up at a high and rocky outcrop, taking cover and assisting the soldiers.

The IMF spread rumors that Princess Celine, who disappeared as a child, is returning. Cinnamon studies Celine's life. Barney and Willey lead Qaisette to Phelps who has an elderly blind Celine/Cinnamon. Thanks to Rollin who claims to be a doctor who knows about the ""real"" Celine's crippled arm, Qaisette believes he can use the ""fake"" Celine to discredit the Archbishop. But Cinnamon manages to pass every test (with some help from Barney) and Rollin ingeniously sneaks out before Qaisette can call him as a witness. Cinnamon-as-Celine has Qaisette arrested and then abdicates the throne, disappearing once more.
